Video Update
Please forgive me. I have not had time to get the videos put together and posted. Its in the works. I also have more pictures to get together. I have been really busy getting ready for the opening of school and learning new software so I can train the teachers. I PROMISE that I have not forgotten you all!!!!! Thanks for your patience!!
Day Three
Day Three was a BUSY DAY!! We set up our scenes and took hundred’s of digital pictures. Then we moved to our computers to put them into Movie Maker or Frames. Some of us spent time looking for sound effects and music because our videos do not have dialogue. We are going to finish our videos on Day Four and they will be posted here. Tell us what you thought about the movie making process.
Pirate Jokes
Several of you have been commenting on my incredibly fabulous Pirate Jokes
I am opening up this space, right here on our very own blog, for you to share jokes that are better than mine!!! I am sure it will be impossible to find jokes that top mine…but feel free to try.
Day Two
Young Pirates, you are AWESOME!!! We are so impressed with your drawings in MS Paint and with the finished clay characters. Your sets for your movies look GREAT!! Tell us what you think about camp.
Day One
Our first day of Claymation Camp is now over. We have really worked hard to make this week a great learning experience and a lot of FUN!!! Your camp staff is dedicated to helping you get the most out of camp so please let us know what you need.
Our first day of camp was full of activities that included: a Pre-test using the Turning Point Student Response System, learning what Claymation is and how it began, looking at examples of Claymation videos, and writing the script for our own videos.
We’d like you to tell us what you learned and what you liked the most about your first day of camp. We hope that you have made some new friends from the other schools and seen some old friends that you’ve been in school with for years.
Ahoy, Mateys!!!
Camp is beginning on Monday, July 27th. We have a star-studded cast of teachers who will be working with you to teach you how to make a claymation video. We are so excited to be able to offer this awesome camp for Bristol VA 5th Graders.
You will want to be at Washington Lee on Monday morning at 9:00 AM. Lunch and a snack will be provided for you. If your parents are picking you up, please tell them to be in front of the school at 2:00 PM. Please don’t wear your Sunday best clothes. You might get messy
Feel free to bring/wear your Pirate Gear!!!
If you have any questions, you can leave me a message here or email me. Hope you are all as excited as we are about camp. See you on Monday!!
